When the girl group Blackpink was celebrating its 5-year anniversary in 2021, I had the opportunity to join the production of its official concert/documentary film. As head writer, I was responsible for conceiving of the narrative structure of the film, riffing off the theme of a “motion picture.” I also researched the group’s history and lore to prepare for the interview, and interviewed the 3 English-speaking members myself. I also configured ‘characters’ and wrote dialogue (details available upon request). The film had a grand theatrical release in over 200 countries.
